Darkest Dungeon Edit Gold

Darkest Dungeon Edit Gold - How to Cheat or Mod Your Way to Riches

Darkest Dungeon is a challenging and rewarding roguelike RPG that pits you and your band of heroes against the horrors of the dungeon. However, some players may find the game too hard or frustrating, especially when it comes to managing gold. Gold is the currency of Darkest Dungeon, and you need it to upgrade your heroes, buy provisions, remove quirks, and more. But gold is also scarce and hard to come by, and you may often find yourself broke and unable to afford the necessities.

If you are one of those players who want to enjoy the game without worrying about gold, you may be tempted to cheat or mod your way to riches. There are several ways to do that, but be warned: cheating or modding may ruin the fun and challenge of the game, and may also cause bugs or glitches. If you still want to proceed, here are some methods you can try:

  • Edit the quest rewards: This method involves changing the amount of gold that quests give you as a reward. To do this, you need to locate the quest.json file in your Darkest Dungeon folder (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\campaign\quest) and open it with a text editor. Then, you need to find the lines that say something like "item_table": [ [], [ [], [ { "type": "gold", "id": "", "amount": 3000 and change the amount to whatever you want (for example, 90000000). Save the file and start the game. Now, whenever you complete a quest, you will get a huge amount of gold as a reward. Note that this method only affects the quests that are generated after you edit the file, and not the ones that are already available. Also, be careful not to set the amount too high, as it may crash your game or corrupt your save file.

  • Edit the inventory stack limits: This method involves changing the maximum amount of gold and gems that you can carry in your inventory. To do this, you need to locate the inventory.darkest file in your Darkest Dungeon folder (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon\inventory) and open it with a text editor. Then, you need to find the lines that say something like .base_stack_limit for gold and gems and change them to whatever you want (for example, 10000 for gold and 20 for gems). Save the file and start the game. Now, whenever you loot gold or gems from enemies or curios, you will be able to stack them up to a higher limit in your inventory.

  • Use a mod: This method involves downloading and installing a mod that changes the amount of gold that you get from various sources. One such mod is Gold Mod by NexusMods user Zeraphim, which multiplies all gold rewards by 100. To use this mod, you need to download it from [here] and extract it to your Darkest Dungeon folder (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DarkestDungeon). Then, start the game and enable the mod from the options menu. Now, whenever you get gold from quests, enemies, curios, or selling trinkets, you will get 100 times more than usual.

These are some of the ways you can edit gold in Darkest Dungeon. However, remember that these methods are not supported by the developers and may cause problems with your game or save file. Also, cheating or modding may take away the fun and challenge of Darkest Dungeon, which is part of its appeal. If you want to play the game as intended, we recommend that you avoid using these methods and instead learn how to manage your gold wisely and efficiently.
